Be Still heeft geen accounts en volgt je niet. Wat je aan het einde van je tijd met God deelt, is anoniem. Je dagen op rij en je tijd met God blijven op je eigen toestel.

Wat we bewaren

• Gedeelde momenten. Als je kiest om te delen: de tekst die je typt (max. 280 tekens), de taal van de app, de landcode van je toestel en het moment van delen. Er wordt geen naam, e-mailadres of telefoonnummer gevraagd of opgeslagen.
• Geschatte locatie (optioneel). Alleen als je de schakelaar "Deel je locatie (ongeveer)" aan laat staan en je toestel toestemming geeft. De positie wordt op je toestel afgerond op één decimaal (ongeveer 10 kilometer) voordat hij wordt verstuurd; de server rondt nogmaals af en bewaart niets preciezer. Hiermee maken we een wereldkaart van waar Gods liefde is ervaren.
• Een willekeurig apparaat-ID. Bij installatie maakt de app een willekeurige code aan. Die wordt met een gedeeld moment meegestuurd om misbruik te beperken (maximaal vijf momenten per dag). De code is niet gekoppeld aan jou, je Apple ID of je toestel.
• Herinnering in de browser (webversie). Zet je in de webversie de herinnering aan, dan bewaren we het push-abonnement van je browser, je tijdstip en je tijdzone om de melding te kunnen sturen. Uitzetten verwijdert het abonnement.

Wat op je toestel blijft

Je instellingen (tijdstip, duur, taal, klok), je dagen op rij en je totale tijd met God worden alleen op je toestel bewaard en nooit verstuurd.

Wat we niet doen

Geen advertenties, geen analytics van derden, geen tracking over apps of websites heen, geen verkoop of doorgifte van gegevens. De app vraagt geen toegang tot je contacten, foto's of microfoon.

Waar het staat en hoe lang

De gegevens staan op servers van DigitalOcean in Amsterdam (EU). Gedeelde momenten bewaren we zolang ze deel uitmaken van de teller en de kaart; we kunnen een moment verbergen of verwijderen als het niet past. Verwijdering van jouw momenten kun je aanvragen via het e-mailadres hieronder; noem daarbij de tekst en de datum, want we hebben verder niets waarmee we ze aan jou kunnen koppelen.

Meldingen en Focus

De dagelijkse herinnering is een lokale melding op je toestel. Het dempen van meldingen doet de app op iPhone via een automatisering in Opdrachten die je zelf instelt; de app leest of wijzigt je Focus-instellingen niet. Op Android vraagt de app eenmalig toegang tot "Niet storen" en zet dat alleen aan tijdens je tijd met God.

In short

Be Still has no accounts and does not track you. What you share at the end of your time with God is anonymous. Your days in a row and your time with God stay on your own device.

What we store

• Shared moments. If you choose to share: the text you type (max. 280 characters), the app language, your device's country code and the time of sharing. No name, e-mail address or phone number is asked for or stored.
• Approximate location (optional). Only when you leave "Share your location (approximate)" on and your device grants permission. The position is rounded on your device to one decimal (about 10 kilometres) before it is sent; the server rounds again and never keeps anything more precise. It feeds a world map of where God's love was sensed.
• A random device ID. On installation the app creates a random code. It is sent with a shared moment to limit misuse (at most five moments a day). It is not linked to you, your Apple ID or your device.
• Browser reminder (web version). If you turn on the reminder in the web version, we keep your browser's push subscription, your time and your time zone so we can send the notification. Turning it off removes the subscription.

What stays on your device

Your settings (time, length, language, clock), your days in a row and your total time with God are stored on your device only and never sent.

What we do not do

No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or passing on of data. The app does not ask for your contacts, photos or microphone.

Where and how long

Data is stored on DigitalOcean servers in Amsterdam (EU). Shared moments are kept as long as they are part of the counter and the map; we may hide or remove a moment that does not belong. You can request deletion of your moments via the e-mail address below; mention the text and the date, since we hold nothing else that links them to you.

Notifications and Focus

The daily reminder is a local notification on your device. On iPhone, silencing notifications happens through a Shortcuts automation you set up yourself; the app does not read or change your Focus settings. On Android the app asks once for Do Not Disturb access and only turns it on during your time with God.
