De app Be Still van Truth Muse werkt zonder account en volgt je niet. Wat je aan het einde van je tijd met God met de wereld deelt, is anoniem. Je dagen op rij, je tijd met God en je dagboek blijven op je eigen toestel, tenzij je er zelf voor kiest in te loggen om je dagboek ook online te bewaren of een kring met vrienden te beginnen.
Inloggen is optioneel en kan met Apple, Google of Microsoft. Log je in, dan bewaren we: je naam en e-mailadres zoals die dienst ze doorgeeft, een kenmerk van je account bij die dienst, en je dagboekmomenten. Het dagboek slaan we versleuteld op (AES-256) op servers in Amsterdam (EU). We gebruiken het alleen om het jou te tonen: in de app op je apparaten en op time.truthmuse.org/profile. We lezen het niet, delen het niet en gebruiken het niet voor iets anders.
Een dagboek kan iets over je geloof zeggen. Daarom vragen we bij het inloggen je uitdrukkelijke toestemming. Die trek je in door je account te verwijderen: in de app onder Instellingen → Profiel, of op de profielpagina. Account, sessies en online dagboek verdwijnen dan direct en definitief; het dagboek op je toestel blijft. Op de profielpagina kun je je dagboek ook downloaden.
Met een account kun je vrienden uitnodigen in je kring. Pas na je uitdrukkelijke toestemming zien zij: de naam die je zelf invult, je dagen op rij, of je vandaag stil bent geweest, je totale tijd met God en wat je bewust met je kring deelt. Daarvoor bewaren we die samenvatting (niet je losse momenten), wie in elkaars kring zit, en wat je deelt; die tekst staat versleuteld (AES-256) in Amsterdam (EU). Een uitnodigingslink werkt 30 dagen. Je kunt vrienden op elk moment uit je kring halen of blokkeren, en berichten melden; gemelde berichten bekijken we en verbergen we als ze niet passen. Verwijder je je account, dan verdwijnen je kring, je samenvatting en alles wat je deelde direct en definitief.
Je instellingen (tijdstip, duur, taal, klok), je dagen op rij en je totale tijd met God worden alleen op je toestel bewaard en nooit verstuurd.
Geen advertenties, geen analytics van derden, geen tracking over apps of websites heen, geen verkoop of doorgifte van gegevens. De app vraagt geen toegang tot je contacten, foto's of microfoon.
De gegevens staan op servers van DigitalOcean in Amsterdam (EU). Gedeelde momenten bewaren we zolang ze deel uitmaken van de teller en de kaart; we kunnen een moment verbergen of verwijderen als het niet past. Verwijdering van jouw momenten kun je aanvragen via het e-mailadres hieronder; noem daarbij de tekst en de datum, want we hebben verder niets waarmee we ze aan jou kunnen koppelen.
De dagelijkse herinnering is een lokale melding op je toestel. Het dempen van meldingen doet de app op iPhone via een automatisering in Opdrachten die je zelf instelt; de app leest of wijzigt je Focus-instellingen niet. Op Android vraagt de app eenmalig toegang tot "Niet storen" en zet dat alleen aan tijdens je tijd met God.

Omdat delen anoniem is, kunnen we een moment niet aan jou koppelen, maar wel op tekst en tijd terugvinden. The Be Still app by Truth Muse works without an account and does not track you. What you share with the world at the end of your time with God is anonymous. Your days in a row, your time with God and your journal stay on your own device, unless you choose to sign in to keep your journal online as well or to start a circle with friends.
Signing in is optional and works with Apple, Google or Microsoft. If you sign in we store: your name and e-mail address as that service passes them on, an identifier of your account with that service, and your journal entries. The journal is stored encrypted (AES-256) on servers in Amsterdam (EU). We use it only to show it to you: in the app on your devices and at time.truthmuse.org/profile. We do not read it, share it or use it for anything else.
A journal can say something about your faith. That is why we ask for your explicit consent when you sign in. You withdraw it by deleting your account: in the app under Settings → Profile, or on the profile page. Account, sessions and online journal are then removed immediately and for good; the journal on your device stays. On the profile page you can also download your journal.
With an account you can invite friends into your circle. Only after your explicit consent do they see: the name you fill in yourself, your days in a row, whether you have been still today, your total time with God and what you deliberately share with your circle. For this we keep that summary (not your individual sessions), who is in whose circle, and what you share; that text is stored encrypted (AES-256) in Amsterdam (EU). An invitation link works for 30 days. You can remove or block friends at any time and report messages; we review reported messages and hide them if they do not belong. If you delete your account, your circle, your summary and everything you shared are gone immediately and for good.
Your settings (time, length, language, clock), your days in a row and your total time with God are stored on your device only and never sent.
No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or passing on of data. The app does not ask for your contacts, photos or microphone.
Data is stored on DigitalOcean servers in Amsterdam (EU). Shared moments are kept as long as they are part of the counter and the map; we may hide or remove a moment that does not belong. You can request deletion of your moments via the e-mail address below; mention the text and the date, since we hold nothing else that links them to you.
The daily reminder is a local notification on your device. On iPhone, silencing notifications happens through a Shortcuts automation you set up yourself; the app does not read or change your Focus settings. On Android the app asks once for Do Not Disturb access and only turns it on during your time with God.
